Special Theory of Relativity without Imaginary X4 = ict Coordinate (by Amrit S. Sorli): With introduction of imaginary time coordinate X4=ict the question has raised whether this coordinate has a real physical existence or it is only a mathematical tool. In this paper it is shown that Special Theory of Relativity can be described without the imaginary coordinate X4 within a three dimensional Euclid space, where time t which we measure with clocks is a numerical sequence of motion, i.e., a material change within a three dimensional physical space.

Is Absolute Reference Frame Originated Inside Fundamental Vacuum (by Amrit S. Sorli): Experimental data confirm relative rate of clocks in different inertial systems is valid for all observers. Clocks run in a quantum vacuum, their relative rate depend on velocity of a given inertial system and on the strength of gravity in the region where the clock under consideration “ticks”. In order to explain the validity of relative clocks rate for all observers the proposal here suggested is that all observers are function of some primordial vacuum into which quantum vacuum exists. This fundamental vacuum can be described with three-dimensional Euclid space where each point of the space has a potential function of observation. Wherever in quantum vacuum scientist exists fundamental vacuum observes through his organism and experience changes in quantum vacuum. In this sense fundamental vacuum acts through every human organism as the observer and is indeed the absolute reference frame for all changes.
The basic difficulties and challenges of Quantum Mind program are analyzed. The conclusion is that the recent form of quantum theory is not enough to overcome the challenges posed by the philosophical problems of quantum physics and quantum mind theories, and the puzzles of quantum biology and quantum neuroscience. Certain anomalies of recent day biology gives hints about how quantum theory should be generalized to serve as an introduction to the summary of the aspects of quantum TGD especially relevant to the notion of Quantum Mind. These include the notions of many-sheeted space-time and field (magnetic) body, zero energy ontology, the identification dark matter as a hierarchy of phases with large value of Planck constant and p-adic physics proposed to define physical correlates for cognition and intentionality.
Especially relevant is the number theoretic generalization of Shannon entropy: this entropy is well defined for rational or even algebraic entanglement probabilities and its minimum as a function of the prime defining p-adic norm appearing in the definition of the entropy is negative. Therefore the notion of negentropic entanglement makes sense in the intersection of real and p-adic worlds and is negative: this motivates the proposal that living matter resides in this intersection.
TGD inspired theory of consciousness is introduced as a generalization of quantum measurement theory. The notions of quantum jump and self defining the generalization of the notion of observer are introduced and it is argued that the notion of self reduces to that for quantum jump. Negentropy Maximization Principle reproduces standard quantum measurement theory for ordinary entanglement but respects negentropic entanglement so that the outcome of state function reduction is not random for negentropic entanglement. The new view about the relationship of experienced time and geometric time combined with zero energy ontology is claimed to solve the basic philosophical difficulties of quantum measurement theory and consciousness theory. The identification of the quantum correlates of sensory qualia and Boolean cognition, emotions, cognition and intentionality and self-referentiality of consciousness is discussed.

The ontology of TGD inspired theory of consciousness consist of the trinity formed by objective realities represented by configuration space spinor fields, subjective realities defined by quantum jump sequences between quantum histories (selves), and geometrical objects (res extensa) represented by spacetime surfaces. The infinite-dimensional configuration space of 3-surfaces is believed to be determined completely by the requirement that it allows Kahler geometry free of infinities: infinite- dimensional ontology is fixed by self consistency. Quantum histories (configuration space spinor fields, ’solutions of field equations’) are not only representations for objective realities but identical with them: painting is the landscape so that there is no theory-reality dualism at this level. Quantum histories can be also identified as inhabitants of the Platonic realm of ideas. p-Adic nondetermism and the nondeterminism of the basic variational principle defining configuration space geometry correspond to the nondeterminisms of cognition and language. These nondeterminisms make it possible to represent, not only the quantal aspects of quantum states, but also quantum jumps sequences defining selves as spacetime regions. This explains the self-referentiality of consciousness meaning that it is possible to become conscious of being conscious about something. One ends up to a view about mathematics in which one must distinguish between mathematical ideas at the level of quantum histories and quantum jump sequences (’that which is’), and their cognitive and linguistic representations at spacetime level: the latter ones can never be faithful so that in this sense the map is not the territory.
Mystery of Time (by Matti Pitkanen): The relationship between experienced time and time of physics is one of the basic puzzles of modern physics. In TGD framework they are certainly two different things and the challenge is to understand why the correlation between them is so strong that it has led to their identification. One can imagine several alternative views explaining this correlation and it is better to keep mind open. The flow of subjective time corresponds in TGD framework to quantum jump sequences for sub-selves of self having interpretation as mental images. Looking for the Physical, Logical, and Computational Roots of the Mind (by Paola Zizzi, Massimo Pregnolato): We discuss the modalities by which we humans should (and in fact, do) compute. That is, we investigate about the logical languages and the computational modes of human reasoning, and the corresponding physical interpretation. In this context, however, the classical world (physical, logical, and computational) does not seem sufficient to give a complete description of the Mind. In fact, the Mind accomplishes different tasks, where it exhibits, alternatively, both classical and quantum features. There are some novelties in two important issues: the long-standing debate on the mind-body relationship, and Turing’s question about a possible identification of the Mind with a computer. The introduction of a quantum metalanguage (QML) for the logic of reasoning is the most important feature to deal with both issues. As far as the first issue is considered, the QML is physically interpreted as a Dissipative Quantum Field Theory (DQFT) of the brain. The corresponding quantum object-language (QOL), which is the logic of reasoning, and is controlled by the QML, is physically interpreted as the Quantum Mechanics of qubits, that is, Quantum Computing (QC).
